Anyway, I do still have one last paper to polish off, so I'll make this quick and then get to it. That darn book review for my Modern Middle Eastern History class. Work this week was real busy and I didn't get a chance to finish the paper yet, but I'm almost there, and my professor said I could take until the weekend. So I better just get it done.

We are never deceived; we deceive ourselves. - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
I'm back... and you knew I was coming. On my way here I passed a cinema with the sign 'The Mummy Returns'. - Margaret Thatcher
I do have a book review in the works, but I didn't get a real big kick out of the book itself, so I haven't been working diligently on it. And I have finished another book last night that will get a brief review as well (ok, so who am I kidding on that "brief" part?). To be honest, now that I'm out of school, my desire to be at the keyboard has fallen off precipitously. I want to enjoy the nice spring weather, and watch TV, and goof off. I do have to do some stuff too, like clep out of Math 1010 (here's hoping I can do it this time), and finish that darn internship for Dr. MacKay. She'll have thought that I disappeared off the face of the planet, at this rate. Oh well.
You know, this post almost feels like Deja-vu. Have I said this stuff before? Wouldn't surprise me.
The parting comment:

You know, in twenty years, if I was looking back at a newspaper from the day of my birth and I noticed this article was among those that came up for that significant day, I'd probably take it as a bad omen. Wouldn't you? Just more proof that truth is stranger than fiction. Of course, if my ex-girlfriend waved at a guy dressed as a Snickers Bar, I'd be pretty torqued too. I'm just saying.
